BMW has announced a host of model revisions to the 1 series and 3 series ranges, which go on sale in November.
There is new entry level 1 Series, the BMW 114d, plus the BMW 3 series saloon and 3 series Touring models get new engine options, including the first petrol EfficientDynamics model, the 320i. new professional sat-nav will also become available in the 3 series saloon.

The BMW 114d is powered by the 1.6-litre TwinPower diesel engine already fitted to the 116d EfficientDynamics, albeit detuned from 116bhp and 260Nm down to 94bhp and 235Nm.
The 114d manages the 0-62mph sprint in 12.2 seconds and hits a top speed of 115mph. EfficientDynamics measures, including stop start, brake energy regeneration and a gearshift indicator give fuel consumption figures of a claimed average of 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 112g/km.
The BMW 114d is available to purchase now in three-door or five-door versions, but prices are yet to be confirmed.
The BMW 320i EfficientDynamics starts at £25,730. Powered by a 1.6-litre petrol turbo engine, it becomes BMW’s first petrol-powered EfficientDynamics model.
The engine develops 168bhp and 250Nm and allows the 320i to sprint from 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds, yet returns 53.3mpg and 124g/km of CO2.
There is also a new entry-level BMW 3 series model, the 316i, which is also powered by the 1.6-litre turbo petrol. In this variant, it produces 134bhp and 220Nm, and will accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds. top speed is 127mph.
The BMW 316i returns 47.9mpg and emits 134g/km of CO2, and prices start at £22,850.
BMW has also been busy with the 3 series Touring range, which has expanded thanks to the addition of the 181bhp 2.0-litre petrol powered 320i. There are also two new 2.0-litre diesel powered models. The BMW 318d and 316d develop 141bhp and 114bhp, and cost from £28,280 and £26,180 respectively.
Finally, the BMW professional Navigation which launched in the 3 series Touring will become now available in the 3 series saloon from November, priced at £1,995.
