This is the Volvo idea XC Coupe, which provides a glimpse into the future of its SUV line-up.
Following on the heels of the idea Coupe that was exposed at the 2013 Frankfurt motor Show, the SUV idea has made its debut at the 2014 Detroit motor Show. It’s the second in a series of three ideas that demonstrate the versatility of Volvo’s new Scalable product design (SPA).

Despite its fairly low-slung stance, three-door, four-seater design plus dimensions that approximately match the XC60’s, the idea XC Coupe is in truth a huge hint as to exactly how the new XC90 will look when it debuts at the Paris motor show in September.
Thomas Ingenlath, Volvo style vice president, explained: “It brings us a bit better to the all-new XC90. however it goes without stating that a three-row seven-seater will have a larger as well as fuller look than this four-seater. The idea XC Coupe is more of a cross country version of a smooth sports wagon.”
Significant styling cues are everywhere, including the floating grille, T-shaped LED aspects in the headlights as well as a unique rear light signature. To provide a traditional SUV look, chunky side sills, 21-inch wheels as well as skid plates have been added at the front as well as rear.
